Background
Nouvelle Decor Art TilesTM are reminiscent of Dutch Delft Ceramic Tiles. Delft tiles originated in the Netherlands around the late 16th and early 17th centuries. Dutch potters developed them as an affordable alternative to imported porcelain, developing an iconic blue-and-white or polychrome color. Original Delft antique tiles in fine condition are rare and expensive.
The Process
Our Nouvelle Decor Art TileTM images are produced from original engraving and hand-colored prints from the 1800 and 1900s. Images are placed in an ancient Greek Vase design of 400 BCE
Each Nouvelle Decor Art TileTM is 6 x 6 inches ceramic Ivory tile with a black hardwood frame for wall decor and custom presentation box for collecting.
