Temple of Flora Art Tiles

Vase Art Tiles use traditional vase style and vintage flower images from the 1800s and early 1900s by famous illustrators. Vase Prints are created by Jean Gabrael Studio.

Considered to be the greatest English botanical illustrations of the early 19th century was Dr. Robert John Thornton’s Temple of Flora. His profession was medicing, but his passion was botany and he found both fame and financial ruin. The workwas the most sumptuous botanical prints ever produced. The flower portraits display the full richness of their natural setting. Unfortunately, Thornton died in poverty in 1837.
